Ok I know im late with getting this up for you to see. Well I finally made it. Here is the invitation I sent out to our guest for my son's birthday party. It was the Scorpio National Convention. It was a collaborative effort with a good friend of mine and her daughter. We thought it was perfect.

Vaughn's Birthday

Here is Vaughn. I have put a slide show of the pics on here. Because were were in an election year we used that as the theme of the birthday party. A friend of ours had there little girl 3 days after I had Vaughn, and we knew we would be inviting the same people so we opted to do their first party together. And viola... Scorpio National Convention... (it was my husbands perfect idea)

The invite for this event were really cute. I designed a logo to bring all the elements of a campaign. We even gave as favors to the guest a bag filled with campaign goodies and treats. The cake was deliciously from Sam's Wholesale Bakery. They were able to put logo on the cake which of course was perfect! Enjoy the pics, feel fee to comment.

Wow a whole month....

Wow, I can't believe it's been an entire month since my last post. I know.... I have to do much better than that. There has been a lot happening in the month of November. I will just make a little list as a recap.

  • My son turned 1 on November 4! That's right on the day our country elected Barack Obama as our president. I like to tell people.. Vaughn turned One when Obama Won!... (that's so cute). Van and I had him standing in line with us as we cast our ballots. Check out my next post and i will have pics of it all including pics from his duet birthday party.
  • November is the month of birthdays in my family. Not only was my son born on November 4, but my birthday is November 5, and my husband's birthday is November 21. (he barely made it into the Scorpio crew...LOL) and to top it all off, all of our names begin with "V"... how sweet.
  • Of course we celebrated the Thanksgiving holidays with our family. This year we went to Savannah, GA which is my hometown. We will do Christmas in Chicago, IL which is Van's hometown. Thanksgiving was a much needed break for the both of us and we are looking forward to Christmas.
  • Lastly..... my awesome Black Friday Purchase! No it was not a plasma (which i really want), not a digital camera (I already have 3 of them), not a GPS system (that was my husband's toy, really awesome too)..... It was a "Cricut Personal Cutting System" I was really excited about this, my mom was just as excited because she purchased one as well. So I will be doing another posting on this machine.
